Titanium Dioxide is an inorganic White Mineral Pigment and one of the most widely used excipients in the coating of tablets and capsules. It is characterized by its Excellent Opacifying Power and Brilliant Whiteness, making it ideal for three key functions:
Providing a uniform white background for the tablet prior to the application of other colors.
Protecting photosensitive Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients ($\text{APIs}$) from degradation by Ultraviolet ($\text{UV}$) light.
